Flying vehicles are vehicles that can function both as road vehicles and aircraft. Most vehicles offer VTOL capabilities, allowing them to avoid runways, giving them the flexibility to takeoff from a variety of locations. Flying vehicles are commonly operated by providers of emergency services such as fire stations and hospitals, though they are used by wealthy individuals as well.

Their prices are expensive, and unless one has the knowledge, one must resort to contacting one of a handful of qualified and authorized service stations to perform the repairs. In addition, licenses for both driving a road vehicle and piloting an aircraft are required before operating.
